Amanda Nelli
Amanda NelliArtistic Director
Ms. Nelli is an experienced music educator and choral conductor.  She is in her fifth season as the Artistic Director for the Chorus Niagara Children’s Choir, a dynamic three-choir organization focused on inspiring a love of music through choral singing.  As the Music Specialist at Fern Hill Private School in Oakville, Ms. Nelli directs a variety of youth choirs and has directed a number of musicals. She is also responsible for the design and implementation of the Music Program for Elementary-aged students.

Ms. Nelli holds a bachelor of music from the University of Ottawa, a bachelor of education from Queen’s University, and a Master of Arts in Music Education from the University of Toronto.  She has an extensive background in opera and oratorio performance.  Ms. Nelli studied choral conducting at the Westminster Conducting Institute in Princeton, and vocal and opera performance at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music’s Opera Theatre and Music Festival of Lucca, Tuscany.  Her choirs have won awards at both the provincial and national level; performed at Carnegie Hall in 2015, and will be performing at the John F. Kennedy Centre for the Performing Arts in April 2017.

Glenda Crawford

 Glenda is a dynamic and energetic educator dedicated to the highest musical standards through performance, teaching and research. Having extensive practical experience in choral conducting, she has worked with a number of ensembles in North America, producing choirs of outstanding quality and performing in the world’s best concert halls. Crawford has held positions at Brock University, Xavier University, Cincinnati and St.Ambrose University, Iowa. Prior to completing her doctorate, she was the founder and artistic director of the Oakville Children’s Choir and Artistic Director of the Milton Choristers. Crawford has been a guest clinician at various workshops in Ontario, including the Peel Board of Education and the Kodaly Society of Ontario. She is an examiner for the Royal Conservatory of Music. She has taught conducting technique, voice, choral literature and musicianship. Crawford holds a DMA from University of Cincinnati, a Masters of Music in Music Education, Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Western Ontario. She was the recipient of the Oakville Arts Leadership award and Queen’s Jubilee Medal for her work with the Oakville Children’s Choir.
Lynne Honsberger
Lynne HonsbergerAccompanist
Lynne Honsberger has accompanied choral ensembles in Toronto, Guelph, Hamilton, Kitchener and Western New York and appeared as soloist with orchestras in Toronto, Oakville, Mississauga and Niagara. During the course of her career she has had the pleasure of accompanying some of Canada’s top vocalists and instrumentalists. In addition to her work with Chorus Niagara, Lynne is the accompanist for Choralis Camerata, accompanist for Chorus Niagara Children’s Choir, the Director of Music at St. Andrew’s United Church in Niagara Falls, a Director for Dalhousie Drama and Music Camp and Principle Keyboard for the fNiagara-on-the-Lake Sinfonia and Principle Keyboard for the Oakville Ensemble.
